Ticketmaster Names Technology, Data Science, and Product Leaders in AI Push
Ticketmaster appoints Jim Freeman, Rachel Smith and Chuck Mortimore to lead technology, data science and product as it expands AI across the business.
New technology, data-science and product appointments support the ticketing company's push into AI, platform reliability and digital access.
Ticketmaster has named Jim Freeman chief technology officer, Rachel Smith its first senior vice president of data science and machine learning, and Chuck Mortimore senior vice president of product as it expands its use of AI across the business.
The appointments bring new leadership to engineering, data science and product development. Ticketmaster said the additions will support reliable operations at scale, defenses against bots and fraud, and experiences for fans, artists and venues.
Freeman previously helped build and launch Amazon Prime Video and later served as chief technology officer at Zalando. His Ticketmaster remit includes global engineering, platform modernization and the adoption of AI tools across company functions.
Smith joins after leading data-science teams across Block businesses including Square, Cash App and TIDAL. She will lead Ticketmaster's first dedicated data-science and machine-learning organization, bringing those capabilities into product development and work on fraud prevention and the fan experience.
Mortimore's product work will focus on identity, access and trust. His background includes Disney and Stripe, with experience building identity systems across consumer services.
“Reliable, secure and personalized experiences depend on how effectively we use technology and data.” — Saumil Mehta, Global President, Ticketmaster.
Ticketmaster also highlighted the Ragie team as part of its AI work. That move predates the leadership announcement: Ragie announced on July 27 that it was joining Ticketmaster. The company developed tools that connect proprietary enterprise information to AI applications, including document processing and retrieval technology, and said it would apply those capabilities inside Ticketmaster.
