Real Madrid Adds IREN as Official AI Cloud Partner
IREN adds Real Madrid to its sports sponsorship portfolio, following its Golden State jersey deal and expansion into Spanish AI infrastructure.
The AI cloud company's latest sports sponsorship follows its Golden State partnership and expansion into Spain.
Real Madrid has added IREN as its "Official AI Cloud Partner," extending the infrastructure provider's sports sponsorship activity into European soccer.
The club's announcement described an alliance centered on community, innovation, and technological progress. Its official partnership artwork identifies IREN's AI cloud category. Financial terms and the contract's duration were not disclosed.
The announcement did not identify a specific cloud deployment, fan-facing AI product or implementation timetable at Real Madrid.
IREN provides data centers, computing capacity and software for AI training and inference. The company entered Europe in June through its acquisition of Spanish data-center developer Nostrum Group.
In a separate announcement, IREN said it had established IREN Europe and secured a civil works license for a planned 300-megawatt AI data-center campus in Badajoz, Spain. Initial operations are targeted for 2028. That infrastructure announcement did not identify the campus as a Real Madrid project.
The Madrid agreement follows IREN's June 25 announcement of a multiyear global partnership with Golden State. That deal puts the IREN badge on Golden State Warriors jerseys beginning with the 2026–27 season and names the company Golden State's Official AI Cloud Partner.
The Golden State package also includes branding on Golden State Valkyries warm-ups and Santa Cruz Warriors jerseys, visibility at Chase Center and presenting sponsorship of the Warriors' annual City Edition platform. Those assets belong to the separate Golden State agreement; Real Madrid has not detailed a comparable activation package.
