Raiders QB Fernando Mendoza Debuts ChatGPT Ad for OpenAI
Raiders rookie Fernando Mendoza debuted a ChatGPT ad focused on family, scheduling and recovery as part of his OpenAI endorsement.
The Raiders’ rookie quarterback released a branded spot showing how he uses the assistant away from football, after disclosing the partnership in September.
Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Fernando Mendoza released a ChatGPT advertisement Oct. 2 as part of his partnership with OpenAI. The No. 1 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft posted the spot on LinkedIn with a paid-partner tag.
The video shows Mendoza asking ChatGPT about his sleep and recovery, checking progress toward the Mendoza Family Fund’s donation goal and finding time for a family call. It presents the assistant as a tool for managing his schedule following his move to Las Vegas.
“ChatGPT helps me stay organized so I can be there for the people who’ve been there for me.” — Fernando Mendoza, Quarterback, Las Vegas Raiders
The campaign follows months of social-media comparisons between Mendoza’s polished interview style and ChatGPT. The partnership was already public: a Sept. 9 GQ interview identified Mendoza as an OpenAI partner. In that interview, he said he uses ChatGPT to help follow the nutrition plan developed by Raiders staff when he is away from the team facility.
Mendoza has drawn a distinction between those personal uses and football preparation. He told Front Office Sports that he does not turn to ChatGPT for game-planning questions, relying instead on Raiders coaches and staff. Financial terms of the endorsement were not reported.
