FC Bayern and Wonderful Put Enterprise AI at the Matchday Gate
FC Bayern and Wonderful will deploy an enterprise AI agent for matchday ticket and account support, with more club use cases planned through 2029.
Three-year partnership begins with an AI agent for ticket and account support, bringing enterprise AI into the club’s existing technology ecosystem.
FC Bayern has named Wonderful its Official Enterprise AI Partner in a three-year global agreement that runs through 2029, beginning with one of the club’s most operationally demanding moments: matchday fan service.
The partnership is designed to move enterprise AI from experimentation into production across selected club operations. The first deployment will focus on digital ticket support, with an AI agent helping fans resolve time-sensitive issues involving ticket access and account questions.
For a major football club, the matchday ticketing window is a particularly revealing place to start. Demand concentrates around a fixed kickoff time, problems emerge at the point of entry, and a delayed resolution can directly affect the fan experience. FC Bayern and Wonderful are positioning the AI agent as a way to address those needs in moments rather than queues.
Wonderful will integrate its enterprise AI capabilities into FC Bayern’s existing systems from the outset. That approach matters because it places the agent inside the club’s own technology ecosystem rather than treating AI as a separate, consumer-facing tool.
Rouven Kasper, Board Member for Marketing and Sales at FC Bayern, said the club sees the partnership as a way to improve fan experiences while strengthening internal processes.
“At FC Bayern, we are constantly looking for new ways to improve the experience for our fans while simultaneously strengthening our behind-the-scenes processes. Our partnership with Wonderful allows us to leverage the potential of enterprise AI through agents - starting with fan services and support on matchday when it matters most. We look forward to working together to develop effective solutions that meet FC Bayern's high service standards.” — Rouven Kasper, Board Member for Marketing and Sales, FC Bayern
The announcement signals a broader operating model for the club. The initial ticket-support agent is a defined use case, but both organizations expect additional enterprise AI applications to be announced during the partnership.
That gives the project a different character from a conventional sports technology sponsorship. The stated aim is not simply visibility for an AI brand; it is deployment across selected operations, beginning with a service environment where speed, reliability, and access to club systems are central to the result.
Bar Winkler, Co-Founder and CEO of Wonderful, said the partnership will support FC Bayern’s enterprise AI ambitions across the organization.
“Wonderful is delighted to partner with FC Bayern as it accelerates its enterprise AI ambitions. FC Bayern sets the standard for excellence on the pitch, across the organization, and now with AI. We're proud to help extend that standard of FC Bayern.” — Bar Winkler, Co-Founder and CEO, Wonderful
The operational logic is straightforward: a club can use an AI agent to handle high-volume, repeatable supporter requests, while connecting the experience to relevant account and ticketing systems. If the deployment proves effective, it could establish a foundation for other fan-service and back-office workflows where staff need fast, secure access to information and actions.
For FC Bayern, the first use case puts AI at a tangible point in the supporter journey—before a fan reaches the stadium gate. For the wider sports industry, it is another example of a major club framing AI around production workflows and service delivery rather than a standalone digital feature.
