RunSignup Adds AI Agents for Race Results and Participant Questions
RunSignup’s three opt-in AI agents answer race results and event questions at no additional cost, with participant transactions planned next.
Three opt-in website agents are free to customers, while refunds, transfers and registration remain planned additions.
RunSignup has released an AI Results Agent alongside website tools for answering participant inquiries, giving race directors three opt-in AI agents at no additional cost.
The three agents cover Contact Us inquiries, website chat, and race results; the results tool is part of that group.
The AI Results Agent appears on the new Results Overview page when enabled by the race director. It can answer questions about posted results, compare athletes, review historical performances, and analyze splits where available. It works on both Website V2 and legacy race websites.
The AI Contact Us Agent answers questions before they reach a race director’s inbox, while the AI Website Chatbot handles event questions and includes results capabilities. Both require Website V2.
The agents combine race website content with event information in the RunSignup database, including pricing and results.
“Next up is letting the agents handle refunds, transfers, waitlists and even registration itself.” — Bob Bickel, Founder, RunSignup
Those transaction capabilities remain on the roadmap. The company also plans deferrals and additional participant-management functions; it did not give a release date in the announcement.
In a separate September explanation of its AI architecture, RunSignup described its public event-page agent as anonymous and read-only, with access to public data and no ability to change registrations or results. It said agents that can make changes use authenticated access and human approval.
The release did not report measured reductions in support volume or response times for the new agents.
